Located at 6 High St, this delightful café has swiftly become a focal point for locals and visitors alike, capturing hearts with its radiant atmosphere and exceptional offerings.

This is not just a place to grab a quick coffee; it’s a sanctuary for coffee lovers and pastry enthusiasts. The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a warm smile and the comforting aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. The Great prides itself on serving top-tier coffee sourced from responsible local roasters, ensuring every sip not only tastes fantastic but also feels good to support.

Your taste buds are in for a treat with their mouth-watering selection. Popular items like the huge croissants and pains au chocolat are baked to golden perfection—flaky on the outside, soft and buttery on the inside. Customers rave about the delicious pastries that coax you to linger a little longer, savoring every crumb. The café is also well-known for its amazing sorbet and gelato, which Harry Brice highlights as a zingy delight, perfect for cooling down after a brisk bike ride through the countryside.

One of the most enchanting aspects of The Great is its outdoor seating area, where families can bask in the sunlight, sip on lattes, and indulge in scrumptious flapjacks while watching the village life unfold. Whether you’re picking up a coffee to go or settling in for a leisurely brunch, The Great is the embodiment of what an independent café should be. Joanna Kennedy remarked that she would have happily stayed all day, and that sentiment echoes the experience of many patrons.

So, whether you’re looking for a local spot to recharge after a day of exploring the beautiful countryside or simply a new café to enjoy your favorite coffee and pastry, The Great promises an experience that warms the heart and fills the stomach. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem; it’s a worthwhile pitstop that will enhance your journey through Great Easton.

I'm always searching out new places for a coffee and a pastry. So, when I heard about The Great, a new cafe in Great Easton, I thought it would be worth the 25-minute drive to give it a try. As a coffee lover, I will always support the small independent cafes. They are the lifeblood of a community, and I think the quality is generally so much better. Well, I wasn't disappointed! Staff were friendly and both the coffee and pastries were excellent. So, it ticked all my boxes. If you like a banging cup of coffee and somewhere with a laid-back vibe, The Great will likely tick all your boxes too! What a great (sorry, couldn't resist!) addition to the village of Great Easton.

I took my family from Leicester to visit this charming new café, it was well worth the trip! It has a timeless character and welcoming atmosphere, with delicious pastries and coffee. It was a real treat to sit outside in the sunshine, watching people come and go. Highly recommend, as is the short walk to the nearby reservoir and local pub - thanks for bringing us to visit Great Easton!

A lovely independent cafe and shop with friendly service and top quality produce. Fresh baked pastries, cakes and bread, sorbets and gelato, and beautiful cards and gifts for the home, designed by the owner. We particularly enjoyed the amazing sorbet and gelato, zingy and fresh, perfect after a bike ride!

Great family run and dog friendly cafe that I happened to stumble across whilst Cycling. This area was in much need of a proper cafe! The owner was very friendly and welcoming. The selection of food and drinks on offer was also very good.

‘The Great’ Cafe in Great Easton really lives up to its name. I visited with my family on a recent trip to England, and ordered a variety of coffees and food, all of which were fantastic. I had a latte and flapjack, others had sausage rolls and pastries. The location itself was idyllic and the cafe had a lovely atmosphere. I would have been happy sitting in here all day! Such a wonderful hidden gem, highly recommend.
